About

About POPHIES

POPHIES is the lighting brand of POPHIES LTD., working on picture lights and wall lights for lighting brands, importers, wholesalers and retailers.

01 — Brand and company

One brand,
one company.

POPHIES is the name the products carry. The company behind it is named below, and it is the same counterparty from the first email to the last delivery.

Brand

POPHIES

Legal company

POPHIES LTD.

  • POPHIES is the brand of POPHIES LTD.
  • The Hong Kong office handles business, customer communication and related operations.
  • The Shenzhen factory is owned or operated directly by the company.
  • The Shenzhen factory handles product development, sampling, production, testing, quality control, packaging and delivery.

02 — Two locations

An office in Hong Kong,
a factory in Shenzhen.

The commercial side and the manufacturing side sit in two places, and the split is deliberate: the buyer works with the Hong Kong office, while the product is developed and built in Shenzhen, for the same company.

Manufacturing, testing and quality pages use real photographs of the factory, the equipment and the working process only. Stock or AI imagery is never presented as evidence.

03 — Who does what

Who does what,
from enquiry to shipment.

The roles below describe functions rather than headcount. The Hong Kong office takes the enquiry, and the answer comes back from the function that owns the question.

  • Product

Owns the range: which models exist, what each one is for, and whether a request is met by a standard product or needs a change.

  • Sales

First reply to an enquiry, then the quotation, the order details and the commercial relationship with the buyer.

  • Engineering

Electrical and mechanical feasibility, drawings and samples, and every change confirmed against a model before it is quoted.

  • Purchasing

Components, materials and the lead times behind a production date, so a promised date is one the factory can hold.

  • Quality

Checks and tests during production and before shipment, including appearance and packaging inspection.

Working with buyers

Buyers communicate with the Hong Kong office. A question about a model, a modification or a delivery date is answered by the function that owns it, and anything with a commercial consequence is put in writing before production starts.

Quotations, tooling, sampling, packaging, shipping and after-sales terms are confirmed by email or in the written order rather than on this website. Prices, stock and certification status are not published here; certification is confirmed by model and target market by email.

The relationship is meant to outlive the first order, which is why a specification is written down rather than agreed in conversation: the next order refers to the same model, the same finish and the same confirmed details.

We reply to normal enquiries within one working day.

The desks behind an order

Enquiries answered in Hong Kong.
Orders built in Shenzhen.

An order passes between two desks: the one that answers the enquiry and the one that builds it. Both are photographed where the work actually happens.

04 — Range and buyers

What we make,
and who buys it.

The company works in LED lighting and develops its own products. The range it sells is deliberately narrow, and the buyers it is built for are professional ones.

Products

Two categories:

  • Picture Lights
  • Wall Lights

Every product is made in one of three power types:

  • Hardwired
  • Plug-in
  • Rechargeable

One product page can carry several models, each with its own colour, size, wattage and function.

Buyers

We work with six types of professional buyer:

  • Lighting Brand
  • Importer
  • Wholesaler & Regional Distributor
  • Lighting Store & Retail Chain
  • Online Lighting & Home Retailer
  • Supermarket & Mass Retailer

Typical markets: United States, Canada, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia and the Middle East. Country-specific and model-specific compliance is confirmed by email.

05 — Company details

Two addresses,
one set of contact details.

The same details appear in the footer of every page. Nothing here is a separate office, agent or trading name.

06 — Who writes this

Notes written by the people
who make the product.

Insights is written in-house, under the name of the team rather than the name of a person, so a reader can see who is accountable for what an article says.

The product engineering team

Every article in Insights is written by the POPHIES product engineering team: the people who draw the products, build the samples and read the test reports. No article is written by an outside agency, and none is published under an invented personal name or with a stock portrait as an author photograph.

A named author page is added when a colleague publishes under their own name; until then the team is the accountable author.

How a figure reaches an article

A number about a product comes from that model's own datasheet, drawing or test report. Where a figure is not on record for a model, the article says so rather than estimating it, and each article names the reviewer and the sources its facts came from.

If an article does not match what you measure, write to us: the article is corrected, and the date of the correction is kept.

Quality & Testing
